- DKDaniel KucnerJan 3, 20252.0I applied for checking late November 2024, submitted the requested verification documents and setup a transfer of direct deposit for initial funding. The website had some issues so I moved between mobile and desktop to submit the documents. They later sent an email deciding they wanted yet another document - this is common practice with poorly run banks; they sham out customers by breadcrumbing "requirements" in account setup and mortgage approvals so they can passively reject them. All requirements should be clear, transparent and advertised up front - no playing it by ear and cherry picking clients. Why is your process backwards, taking direct deposit info, then deciding you want more proof of identity? The website cannot reset my password to continue setup. I have worked with many local and large banks and I've fortunately only seen one other this bad. At least they're polite and anwser the phone. However this experience tells me enough to know that it would be nothing but headaches to continue with them.
