- CCCSep 12, 20251.0The overdraft fees are insane! They'll take every dime you have even for unintended charges that are 13 cents and and then you have no money for your bills or priority expenses because of multiple excessive unnecessary charges. Initially a man on the phone said they could help wave the fees in person but once you go in, they refuse to help and say they can't do anything (including the manager). The manager that I didn't even get to speak with so I had to play phone tag with a female banker that I knew didn't care if she helped me or not. Yet, the gentleman I initially spoke with on the phone said otherwise. And, this is exactly why I don't go in person to speak with anyone anymore. They say it'll make a difference and yet it never doea. I'm told one thing then I'm dismissed and discredited once I waste my time and energy doing so, all while trying to get help. They honestly don't care because they got their money. That's all banks are good for. So no matter what unexpected circumstances you endure due to no fault of your own, ie. hospitalization, job loss, etc...they care less. So now I have to figure out what else to do because I've done everything that I can do and hope I can come up with all this money to cover their overdraft fees before more charges hit. Hundreds of dollars in a short period of time and inconsistent times that they charge the fees.nit honestly doesn't add up. I've put the money in on time and even been hit with fees anyway at least 4 times. I had a family member who was charged $700 in overdraft fees due to no fault of their own and left the bank when they got tired of being ripped off. Hence why KeyBank endured many lawsuits for wrongly charging customers over the past several years. Do yout homework before choosing a bank. I wish I had more so before now. I see why people choose not to utilize banks.
