  The tellers are amazing the bank itself is horrible! Read the reviews and go to a real bank! Was on hold for over an hour to get my funds I put in the account! The phone representative stalled in trying to get the manager on the phone. The branch blames the contact center the call center blames the branch. They like ping pong games here.

  My experience with Key bank was fine up until yesterday afternoon (4/18/23). I deposited a check for over $3K on Monday, 4/17/23 and was informed that the funds would more than likely be available by the next day, 4/18/23. This did occur, however; shortly thereafter the funds were placed on hold without my knowledge and no one reached out to me as a courtesy to inform of this. Needless to say, I was spending money that was not available. Now my account is in the negative. After learning of this, I went to the branch where I opened my account. The young lady was nice and explained the "back office" had placed a hold on the check. I asked why and she did not have an explanation, I asked if I could speak with the back office and she stated that they are corporate and provided me with the information to reach out to them. She also mentioned that I could speak with the Branch manager. I explained that it was not necessary if he is not able to help. After calling the number provided and spending over an hour on the phone, mostly hold time; I was transferred to the branch manager as it was explained that  he was the only one that could release the hold. He was rude, not helpful and abruptly ended the call. Before this he stated that he could call the bank to verify funds and then remove the hold and funds would be available the soonest by Thursday. I explained that this was not acceptable and wanted to explore other options which were not welcomed. I explained that I am not a new customer and also that my payroll checks are deposited into this account weekly so there should not be any concerns. This fell upon deaf ears. He also commented that he knew that I was gonna be "that kind of person" when I had come into the branch earlier. Not sure what he meant by that but it was very offensive and can easily be taken out of context if I chose to address it. After all is said and done, I still do not have access to my funds and no one could care less, not cool.  Now my life is on hold until they decide that they are done playing with my money. Once the funds are available, I will no longer be using their services. Cont.... I have only received one contact attempt from Key regarding this matter. I was following up on the their app and now it shows that my account is further in the negative and my funds are in hold until 4/22/23, This is completely unacceptable and something has to done to rectify this immediately. I will never have anything good to say about Key after this.
