- ABAmanda BartromDec 6, 20221.0I've been with Old Fort many years, up till now. Since summer of 2022 My account kept going in the negative. We would have our direct deposit hit / average amount around 2800-3500, and within a few hours, the account would be around 200.00!! I had gone in multiple times and asked for help because I wasn't even using my card or ordering anything. They said they couldn't find anything and then they said maybe it's because of my spending!!! Mind you I was a manager for multi million dollar companies. I know how to make a budget. I turned off the protection services offered because I will not pay for the fees associated with it. Especially when it's not me spending money. Even though I had the feature setup, Old Fort still allows for money to be taken out, when there's not enough to actually cover it, then I'm charged fee's, again. They won't allow me to close the accounts because there's a negative balance. I've gone in before, paid the balance, so I can close it on a Friday when my husband's off work, but by the time we get there, there's more charges and more fee's. I have spoken with our attorney and I was told to leave it alone and stop paying for someone else using my account. My family is now at a different bank and we don't have ANY issues! I absolutely do NOT recommend this bank because they don't take care of the customer. They only care about how many fee's they can get from you. They don't have fraud protection- even though they say they do. Our account was breached multiple times. I believe it's still breached, hence why our money was taken so quickly. They're not helpful at all. Writing this review is very difficult for me because of the relationship I did have with a few of the people who work there. Shay, in Fremont, was always nice and truly tried to help, she was also great with my kids. I wish her well for her future. Amanda Scott
