- TJTheron JonesOct 24, 20251.0Not recommended! I took a loan with this corporate giant for the purchase of a building and small business. From our experience over 10-years, we've continually watched them take advantage of us financially. They required us to put an additional $31K in a CD with them as a safety hold (on top of our ~$65K down payment), telling us we could get the $31K back after a year if there were no emergency issues with the account; since then, they've repeatedly thrown red tape at us when we requested to get the money back. Not only have they held our money, but they set it up where we would not receive any of the interest on "our" money, so after 10-years, key bank has made interest on our funds, and to this date, they have not given us our money back, now telling us it would require a loan modification (another opportunity to charge us fees) and the first time we've heard that excuse. They are not helpful at all. An additional red flag is the amount of 'new' reps we've been given over the years, with those new employees seeking additional ways to make more money off us (e.g. renewing LOC accounts with new fees and higher interest rates). They were absolutely no help during COVID where other banks went out of their way to help their clients. From my experience, and in my opinion, I do not recommend them at all.
