    It’s easy to see how KeyBanks rating is less than two. They willfully violate the federal do not contact law then when you respond asking them to explain what they are doing and why, this is what you get, “Thank you for emailing Key. This email address is no longer supported at this time.”

    I deposited two personal checks into my KeyBank checking account using mobile deposit because I urgently needed access to the funds. To my surprise, KeyBank placed a hold on the checks, claiming they needed to verify sufficient funds in my accounts at other banks. The frustrating part is that the money was withdrawn immediately from those other accounts, but it has not shown up in my KeyBank account. I called customer service twice, but they told me nothing could be done and that the hold would take 9–10 days to clear. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Because of this, I plan to close my account and will not be banking with them again. I’m sharing my experience here so others are aware of these practices before choosing KeyBank.

    We/I have multiple personal and business accounts with KB and have had for decades! Who is the misguided architect within KB that devised and implemented the policy that an existing "business" checking account customer of 20+ years must provide a SS-4 (EIN request) copy/confirmation filed and confirmed 25+ years ago in order to open a 2nd relationship MM account...for the same exact entity? The MM account has been opened before under the same exact profile...and CD's as well. The EIN is already part of that account data base, the authorized officers are already confirmed, address, etc. The policy seriously lacks anything close to the goal of customer relationship service!!!! Stunning. Employees need better training. They typically only exhibit minimum banking knowledge...based on multiple branch engagements!! You could write a book on what not to do.
