My wife and I closed our account with Key Bank after zeroing in the bank account when we were done with our home improvement loan. A year later we found out they charged us a maintenance fee for closing the bank account. They overdrafted us over $100, and told me over the phone "you needed to shut down your account instead of closing it." This is the type of language and business model used by frauds, swindlers, and people generally trying to rip people off. It's not millions but as a regular-Joe, I feel like I was taken advantage of. I will be telling everyone I know to never to bank with Key bank. How pitiful is it that they would punish a customer for fair business. It's disrespectful and disheartening. Shame on you
