- MMMillieDec 15, 20251.0I won at the casino and went to the bank to deposit a cashiers check at the highland square branch in Akron. Did this last year no problem and funds were available immediately. Well, new policy at key has a 7 day hold because my account had been overdrawn within last 6 months. Asked the cashier what can be done and she gave me a piece of paper to call customer service (CS). She didn’t even offer to speak to the branch manager. Called CS, told them I wanted someone empowered to lift the hold, they sent an email to the branch manager (who i guess is empowered) to see if they would lift the hold. For goodness sake, it’s a cashiers check, not personal or business check, a cashiers check, made out to me!! He said, he wasn’t going to do it (very sternly)because he would lose his job if it’s fraud. Are you kidding me!!! So, I’m being called a fraud. I know they have other ways to check if this is a fraudulent cashiers check or not!! I asked him who is YOUR manager and he would not give it to me! Told me his manager doesn’t take calls and to call CS. Well, CS would not give a name or contact either (I’m sure the branch manager knew CS would not give the information). CS will only issue a complaint and get back to me in 2 business days.This is not a way to do business!! What happened to the days of ownership, accountability, customer satisfaction, going the extra mile and banks appreciating the customer!! And, I have a few more things to say about this issue but I won’t put it on google. Perhaps I’ll receive a response or phone call and I will let it be known at that time!!
