The teller was rude from the start. “May i please have 20 from my savings” And she responds snidely with “well we will just have to see” And gave me a look teller 2145 needs customer service training. I hand her everything and she tosses back my id and the money and receipt. No wonder americu is going downhill fast. Il have to stick to chime banking
- DJDeWitt JacobsJul 27, 20251.0If I could give zero stars I would. David Smith (the loan officer) for Americu is completely incompetent. He will say anything to you to get you to start the mortgage process with him/ Americu and will back track as soon as you sign off for him to start the process. After days of talking to that pile of bricks I asked to work with someone else and got passed to Ana Maria Lasher who also did a lot of rambling and back tracking regarding Americu’s requirements for a pre-approval. What is usually a few day process for just a PRE-APPROVAL took multiple weeks just to be disrespected by their offer. **NEVER EVER GO TO AMERICU FOR ANY MORTGAGES AT ALL WHATSOEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES** Everyone there should be required to go back to do some training. There are alternate credit union options to try if you don’t want to go through a big bank or mortgage company, DO NOT go through Americu!!!!

I never had a problem that AmeriCU couldn't solve for me, even the ones that seemed unsolvable (like putting the wrong account number on my tax return). They do all of my money transfers, handle my mortgage and my car loan. I would recommend them any time for any business, small or large, they take it seriously and do everything possible to help you. It’s the beginning of the month, you should know your demand at this time of the month and have the staff here to handle it.
