- JJJMay 9, 20242.0Ridgewood Savings Bank 2.5/5 Their customer service is generally decent. Bankers tend to remember my name as well as my family. However I've encountered a major issue with their handling of check deposits that has been quite frustrating. Checks that I thought were deposited months ago were, in fact, not deposited at all, leading to a lot of confusion and issues with my finances. This has happened more than once, which is troubling and raises concerns about their reliability. On bank's mobile app, more specifically, the remote deposit feature, which allows you to take pictures of the front and back of checks for deposit, needs significant improvement. I’ve found that the checks I remotely deposit often don't go through, and there's no notification if a deposit is unsuccessful. This lack of feedback makes it difficult to trust that the app is handling my transactions correctly. If Ridgewood Bank is going to respond to this review, I would like someone from upper-level management to respond with a direct phone number so that we can discuss this issue in detail.

I usually have accounts with Chase, BOA, HSBC, Citibank. When I first arrived I was greeted by Willis. He sat me down and explain to me all the benefits of opening an account at Ridgewood Saving Bank. One of the things he explained to me is that I can use my ATM cards at hundreds of MoneyPass location without a ATM surcharge fee. This was something I was not aware of. I found him to be a extremely professional and knowledge individual. I plan to refer more friends to open an account here. Just ask for Willis!
