Knowing really well that Discover is not accept everywhere. I'm already having trouble with two retailers I shop frequently. Now I have to buy Visa or MasterCard gift cards to continue using their service. Why any bank would make a move like this is beyond comprehension but in my opinion, this seems like the ship may be sinking pretty soon.

- JCJeff CordesJul 2, 20251.0Don’t ever use capital one. They don’t care about their customers. My card was recently compromised. It took 3 phone calls and 2 people hanging up on me to get my situation settled. When I mean by settling we closed all of my accounts and my wife’s accounts too. I was told it was no big deal that my card was used because the money was returned immediately by the company MY card was being used at NOT by me. This person began to agrue with me. I told them my identity has been stolen before and I want to get ahead of this. Apparently I was wrong and it is no big deal and they hung up on me. Well another chat and trough hours later. I called again. Talked to another person who couldn’t care less about anything. His attitude was terrible so I started to record him. Well he hung up. Apparently it’s ok for Capital One to record phone calls but when the customer wants to record it’s “against Capital one’s policy.” The 3rd time I called I was over it and closed all our accounts. Capital one had no remorse. They didn’t try to keep me as a customer. Nothing. I have NEVER missed or been late on a payment. All my credit cards had zero balances. One had a negative balance and I told them to donate it to charity. This has been the most awful experience ever. Also the 3 people I talked to were from a different country. The one person I talked to from my other card company was an American. I’m not saying but I am. If you hire people who care about your company and your customers you might do better. You can tell this isn’t AI. The grammar is terrible and punctuation as well. I’m not an English major, but I can build you a Big Beautiful House. I also treat my customers with kindness, respect and courtesy. I’m available to try and teach people in your company.
