- MKMeghan KiesaSep 6, 20251.0I was recently let go from my employer and while waiting for my unemployment and 401k check my account became overdrawn. When I went on Aug 28th to deposit my $19k check they put a hold on it until Sept 4th. So I got a fee for everyday it was on hold. In the bank, they told me I needed customer service to remove the hold. So I call, am told that only the branch can remove the hold and to go back. Of course I go back, embarrass myself asking to be told no. It's definitely customer service. I call them back and they insist it's the individual branch but I was done going back so now I'm so stressed I'm in tears and the rep tells me to call after the check clears because they'll see it's been pending so long and remove the fees. Well, apparently that was a lie too. The supervisor I spoke to on the phone today also said there's nothing to be done. My account previously has been in good standing, what a way to kick me while I'm down Key. Thanks!

What I can say is this: God bless the Branch Manager for his much needed help. I'm older, and like millions of Senior Citizens, it's getting scary on the financial end. Sam just made an old man cry.
