- DDDonMar 22, 20251.0Webster bank is a rip off. I started in Astoria bank many years ago. Sterling National took over. Then Webster bank took over and my account transferred throughout. All of a sudden now the bank starts charging $30 monthly fee because I don't have $25,000 minimum in account. I had never been charged a fee previous to January 2025 by Webster or the previous banks. For 4 cents interest I must pay $30!!! Lol. I am basically giving them my money to lend and earn high interest and they want to charge me for that. Banks are bad enough but this one is greedy. Goodbye Webster !
