  The day after Christmas, I was passing by the Equitable building in New York City. I had some business to take care of through CITI bank on the upper east side. Within the Equitable bldg. there is a CITI Bank. I stopped to ask them about a situation I was having with an Official check. There were two people ,Mr. Hernandez and Ms. Austin at the desk in the lobby. I went directly to Miss Austin and told her the problem that I was having with a check that had been sent to the receiver and it had been paid but the person/company that the Official check should have gone, have not received it and it was a decent amount of money. that’s why I buy official checks for to protect myself and the receiver. I had been warned that if I did not fix this situation, I would be going to court. When I spoke to the two people at the desk, the gentleman went directly to his manager, and the manager took time to fix what other Citibank could not fix in less than 15 minutes. Mr. Hernandez and Miss Austin were the most professional people in a Bank that I have ever encountered. The smiles were there, the compassion was there and the conviction without knowing who I am, were patient enough to make sure that I left that Bank happy. Ms. Austin stayed with me and Mr. Hernandez was in the office with his manager. The manager and his team were one person they were United in helping me. Just as they were helping me a young man came in, who was having a problem that was an emergency with his bank card, and another banker came out and worked with him,All of them were working to make a customer satisfied and as I watched what was going on, I was impressed. The young man who came in left satisfied. Mr. Hernandez came out and laid a sheet of paper on the desk and he says to me “this is your proof “ as he put the sheet of paper in front of me with the person who I thought had received the check he showed me exactly who cashed the check. I am so sorry that I did not remember to tell you who the manager that night was but Mr. and Mrs. Austin. I was so excited when I walked away that I could not remember the managers name. And that’s customer service and that is what people should do; walk out of a bank or any business,feeling good when you know that you have done the right thing and you have the conviction that you are going to win and I did because I’m righteous. I salute CITIBANK. And those three people thank you so much. You are the best a product of your manager and his teaching you. Bravo bravo. what I would like to say to the readers who are looking for a Bank. Look towards the ones I just talked about in the location 120 Broadway.
