I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience at this TD Bank branch that reflects a serious lack of understanding of basic ACH and Regulation E protections. I came in with the account holder to dispute an ACH withdrawal that occurred after authorization had been explicitly revoked. Rather than handling this as an unauthorized electronic fund transfer under Regulation E, the banker repeatedly insisted on incorrectly classifying it as “fraud,” despite being clearly informed that authorization had existed previously and was revoked before the debit occurred. Even more troubling, we were told that the bank could not block the merchant and that we needed to “call the merchant again” — despite the fact that authorization had already been revoked and acknowledged by the merchant. This directly contradicts Regulation E obligations, which require the bank to handle post-revocation ACH disputes and prevent further unauthorized debits. No attempt was made to escalate the issue, complete a Written Statement of Unauthorized Debit, or involve an ACH or Regulation E specialist. Instead, we were given incorrect explanations and effectively brushed off, forcing us to leave without resolution. This was not a complicated or ambiguous situation. It required basic knowledge of Regulation E and ACH dispute procedures — knowledge that was clearly lacking. The misinformation provided caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and undermined confidence in the branch’s ability to handle federally regulated consumer protections. TD Bank should seriously evaluate the training and authority of staff at this location, particularly regarding ACH disputes and Regulation E compliance. Customers should not have to fight to have well-established protections applied correctly.

People who work there are nice. They are trying to help. And they are the reason for this one star. Otherwise, it would be 0 stars for this supremely disorganized bank with outdated digital options.

The many times I have been there the service has always been professional and very friendly. They now have a person greeting you when you walk in asking if you need any help. Very nice. Makes you feel welcome and a valid Costormer. I like it. And. Never a big line here. Even better.
