- AAAngela AbateSep 16, 20251.0Honestly, I’ve been to hundreds of key banks across NYS. This one by far always takes the longest to assist customers. They move incredibly slow and carry on personal conversations with every regular that comes in. It’s quite obnoxious to be honest for those of us who have things to do and places to be, to sit and listen to conversations that have nothing to do with business transactions, while there’s a line to the door. I’ll use other branches going forward.
- DKD KnightFeb 1, 20231.0As friendly as the people might be, KeyBank's horrific online app makes it impossible to conduct business. I transferred funds from a checking account to a loan. Two days later, the bank REVERSED my payments. They offered no notification, no explanation, and did not put the money back into the checking account. When I called customer service, they had to conduct research to find out why this happened. When they returned my call, I was told that there was an update to their loan IT system that reversed my payments, and that I should make the payments again when the money returns to my checking account -- in two days. In other words, I don't have access to my money, and my loan payment isn't made. The rep told me that in the future, I'm to indicate that additional payments are to be removed from the principal. But their online app doesn't even provide that function! The CIO of this bank should be fired for incompetence.

Their response to the problem has been very lackadaisical and uncaring but they seem to have no problem reminding me I made the original mistake. Customer service is obviously not a priority here.
