The Rt. 2 branch is the absolute best! Alex and Kathy are so knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly. They are truly a pleasure to do business with — each and every time!!

Great people to deal with. Especially when my fathers estate is not easy to handle. They made it easy for me. Thank you Trustco. Keep up the good work.

The main reasons I bank at Trustco are 1) I have been with them for over 30 years and have been relatively satisfied. 2) They have many locations in the Albany area, and unlike some banks, have uniform hours at all branches. 3) Totally free checking. and 4) Both my SS check and pension check are posted promptly on the days they are supposed to be. One complaint I have is their ATMs require two insertions of one's card and is slow to react to transactions. At Pioneer bank ATMs, for example, one quick swipe of your card and you are out the door quickly. Also, if I want a cash advance from a credit card, Trustco's charge is higher than most other banks. ($ 3.50) as compared to $ 2 or $ 2.50 at other institutions. As for customer service, nothing exceptional, but OK at most branches. All being considered, 3 stars out of 5.

I have gotten wonderful service from here before but today was the worst of all. Seemed like they had no interest in helping me at all. they didn't know what they were talking about at all. Refused to let me withdraw money from a check which i had done before with no problem. Just told me they can't do it, didn't even wanna hear what i had to say. So i just walked out. Thank you for wasting my time.

oh my, i can't offer enough warnings about this bank. the turnover of the branch managers is almost WEEKLY (pointless to develop personal relationships with them...'cause they won't be there when you need them). my next concern is their online bill-pay function which DEDUCTS SCHEDULED PAYMENTS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCES THE MOMENT A PAYMENT IS SCHEDULED. in other words, you lose access to those funds IMMEDIATELY, despite the fact that the payment may not be sent to the vendor/or collected by the payee for several weeks from when the payment is scheduled. FINALLY...this bank scheduled a major upgrade of their online banking platform in mid-july 2014. today is FOUR DAYS after the upgrade, and i still CANNOT ACCESS the online billpay function. i cannot see my payees or my payment history, and have to call an 800 number to manually have one of their customer service reps facilitate required payments on my behalf. i have called the bank each day since the upgrade...waited indefinitely to speak to someone, and no one can tell me when the process will be fixed. my advice to anyone considering a relationship with trustco...go elsewhere. their customer service and their technology are both terrible.
