- DHDonna HankoMay 4, 20251.0We switched to TD bank on April 3rd and it’s truly been a nightmare from day one. First we were told that we would have checks in 5 days and in fact we didn’t get checks until WE ordered them and btw, they will only send you 40. Next, every time we take out what they consider to be a large sum of money (over $1,000) they interrogate you ad nauseam about what you’re doing with it. It’s so invasive. They also told us that if we need more than a couple of thousand dollars we should call in advance to make sure they had it at the branch!! Finally, trying to set up zelle or bill payments is a mess. Trying to pay my daughter’s rent with a person who has Zelle set up and it requires a verification process that has failed twice and ultimately locked us out of our own account. Oh and that being said, we get a missed call from TD fraud dept, they left no message and when we called back we were on hold for over 40 min then the call dropped. As soon as the trauma of switching banks subsides, we will be parting ways with TD bank, “America’s LEAST convenient bank”. Good riddance!
