I didn’t know the debit card PIN. It was my first time doing an in-person deposit, with our new account so I didn’t know what to expect. My husband sent me with the card, and when I called him to confirm the PIN, she laughed and said, “I can’t believe this,” while I was still on the phone with him. That comment felt unprofessional and embarrassing. She later apologized and even asked if I accepted her apology, which felt awkward. I said yes just to complete my deposit and not lower myself to her low standards. What should have been a simple Friday afternoon deposit turned into an uncomfortable and disrespectful experience.

I was immediately greeted upon entry by a woman who guided me efficiently through the process of filling out the slip and getting the necessary forms of ID prepared for the teller. Everyone was so polite and congratulatory, and patient as I rummaged through my overstuffed wallet looking for the right cards. I do the majority of my banking online through the app, and haven't needed to set foot in a physical location in over 10 years. This Hicksville branch was closest to where I currently reside, and some of the negative reviews made me apprehensive, so it was a relief to have the exact opposite experience from what I'd read. I don't think I've ever had the type of guidance I experienced today from a physical bank, and if I ever needed a branch's help again I would definitely return to this location. Would recommend.
