- BYBeth YostJul 9, 20251.0This bank allows scammers from other countries to open fraudulent accounts in legitimate business names. Either that or the bank does not verify a beneficiary account name on a wire transfer with the account that they are depositing the funds into. We sent a large wire transfer to who we thought was Volvo Financial Services at this bank. That is the name we sent it to as the beneficiary account. I filed a report with the FBI and was advised to send a copy to every bank involved. When I called this bank and spoke with Shantae in the fraud dept., she refused to give me an email address to send the report to. She would not give me her last name either. We lost over $30,000 and this bank was not even willing to receive a copy of the report filed with the FBI. They apparently feel the need to protect the scammers, or they want to cover their butts because their wire department did not verify beneficiary name with account name, or they allowed someone to open an account without proper documentation. Since they refused to even receive a copy of the report filed with the FBI, they obviously have no intentions of even looking into this and will continue to allow this criminal activity. I will warn all my family in Pennsylvania to stay away from Key Bank. Very shady!
- TOThomas O'NeillJan 27, 20181.0Woah..... Just woah.... I've never been been treated so badly by a customer service rep ever. If you can, go to another Branch or bank. To keep it simple, they lost my checks in the mail and literally blamed me for "giving" them the wrong address (despite the correct address being confirmed twice). Having floating checks in the mail is a huge security risk however they did not offer to resolve the situation or even refund me the money for the checks they lost! The rep named "Raj" was so condescending and rude that it left my mouth open. Her snide remarks were spoken with a fake smile. In the end she refused to help me while repeatedly putting the blame on me. If you care about securing your money and having representatives genuinely help, then seek out another bank.
