- SBSandra BJul 18, 20251.0Let me tell you the utter incompetence of Citi. My grandfather's account went inactive because he moved. He changed his bank. This place made him leave a little money in the bank and not fully close the account. Fast forward five years. My family reaches out to ask me to close it because I'm on the account and this place wouldn't let her close it without me. I live 3000 miles away. I just fought on the phone with Citi and had to demand the back room to get anywhere with them. Now I have to drive for an hour in any direction to close the account. From CALIFORNIA. Citi is awful, always rude, always condescending, never helpful. Don't use them for banking. The guy at this branch lied and said I could close the account over the phone. Yeah, no I can't. My family is texting me his business card, I'll post it later. Enjoy the write up bud. I filed a complaint on you. :)
