- TITim IrishApr 27, 20191.0This was a relaxed, friendly neighborhood bank branch when it was with First Niagara. The staff actually knew many patrons by name or sight. They were always willing to take time to do a favor for a depositor. No more. The culture of Key Bank is like that of the crocodile--kill or be killed. On two consecutive visits, I have been upbraided, loudly humiliated by a sort-of-teller-jack-of-all-trades and a new-accounts manager because they did not like the identification I had been using at that very bank for more than a decade. When I asked the manager-ogre if I could have a printout of my account history for the previous month, the gorgon snapped at me as if I'd asked for her car keys and her firstborn. I'm getting out--before I need a key to do it.
