- DRDelayla ReyesDec 13, 20251.0I had a very frustrating experience with a Citibank ATM at one of their branch locations. I attempted to withdraw $1,220, but the ATM did not dispense any cash, disabled my card, and then reset as if the transaction never happened. When I checked my account, the money had already been debited. I contacted customer service immediately and was told an investigation would be opened and that I might receive a provisional credit. Despite calling multiple times and explaining the financial hardship this caused, I was repeatedly told there was nothing the branch could do and that I had to wait up to 10–20 days for resolution. It has now been several days with no access to my money, very little communication, and no clear accountability for a serious ATM malfunction. For a major bank, this level of service and delay in resolving an error that was clearly not the customer’s fault is unacceptable.
