If I could give this post no stars, I would. The branch manager Nicola is so rude, nasty, unhelpful, unprofessional and lacks any bit of customer service skills. Then upon leaving the bank after completing a transaction, she blocks the exit with her car and refuses to move to the side to let traffic through. If this is who Citibank wants to represent them I have no problem taking my business elsewhere!

Horrible experience. I opened up an account with citi bank. The women who helped me said I able to use my account to pay my bills right away. I went to pay all my bills and a week later all my payments where reversed bc my account wasn’t fully active. I Specifically ask if I can use my account right away to pay my bills and I was ttold me yes. Apparently that wasn’t right CITI bank staff are not knowledgeable and They were unhelpful so I decided to close my account and I would never use Citibank ever again. This has been Very inconvenient for me.

ZERO STARS. On 11/18/17 around 2pm, after begging for my cash in-branch bc I was a new customer and had no atm card, my withdrawl was reversed(cash put back in acct right front of my face while pleading for it) and I was threatened with a phone call to the NYPD if I didnt leave the property by the branch manager, Nikola A. Blake-Coke, NMLS ID: 686052. I was only begging for help after trying to make a small withdrawl with teller Carol M., who was plain rude from the start. I had no problems answering her verification questions and happily gave her my id and a letterhead print out from Citi with my account info in full. It was not until I asked her about my address (I have proof labeled "Service Requset Confirmation" that my MAILING and RESIDENTIAL address' were changed to be the same on 11/17/17) that I'd had enough of her "l dont know" and rude demeaner when responding to my inquiries since walking up to her window. I figured I didnt have to be treated as such and asked the same teller for a manager, she said "they're over there." Then I asked, "how many managers are there?" And she said, "two". The bank was closing and both managers were at one computer at one desk assisting one customer. Upon asking for help and trying to explain my delima, I was told to have a seat several times my Ms. Blake-Coke, who was not dressed professionally in anything that represented her company. While the other manager looked around, the tellers were packing up to leave. I feared I wouldn't be able to get any cash, so I was trying to talk Ms. Blake-Coke for better service bc the bank was closing around me. She didnt take any notice to my concerns and continued telling me to sit. I asked her if I could go outside to grab my address confirmation paper and she said "no, you cant come back in". The sercurity said use the atm...I said thats the problem I dont have a card YET. Still waiting, I walked back to the teller, Carol, to ask her if she was able to put the money back in my acct? THIS WASN'T A DIRECTIVE just an innocent question. IMMIDIATELY, SHE SAID YES, BEGAN TYPING ON THE COMPUT AND SEEMED TO BE CALLING FOR ASSISTANCE TO REVERSE MY WITHDRAWL. At this point...IM UPSET. As I began to let the teller know, in an upset tone, she is not a good listener at all, for what she is doing, I didnt ask her to do, Ms. Nikola A. Blake-Coke stops working...speeds across the branch...whips out her keys, opens the door to the teller booths, rushes to approve the reversal and tells me "you need to leave." I was appalled that she had the time to do all of that but couldn't help or hear me out initially. All of this, AFTER it was brought to her attention, by myself, that I was already having issues. The only reason why I stopped begging for my own money was bc Ms. Blake-Coke picked up the phone and began to dial 911. I was fearful of being falsely arrested or summed after labeling me a criminal in-action at a bank. It seems this location is not getting the maintenance it is in dyer need of and is being allowed to operate BELOW EXPECTATIONS under its current management according to the very unhappy customer reviews, why would you ever deny any account holder their hard earned cash. I have a small child and depend on myslef. I suppose I will have to wait approximately 2 days or until Monday morning at 9am to travel out of my way and try another location. Feeling extremely confused, devalued and broke(n). I will continue my business with Chase. To be threatened and treated like a criminal is insane. Especially, while my money is sitting in your financial institution. Handing me what was already withdrawn BEFORE asking me to leave seems like alot more of the humane thing to do. I'm not returning until I know this place is shoppable and customer worthy.
