Opened an account over a week ago with a cashier’s check from my other bank and 13 days it’s still on “hold.” When I opened the account they said “oh it’ll take a couple days to clear.” Even a couple days seemed long for a certified cashier’s check from a major nationwide bank. I mean, a cash checking place would’ve honored it that day for a fee. But I trusted them on the “a couple days.” Now 13 days later I still have no access to my funds and the customer service is telling me two different things but essentially says it can take 5-10 business days to clear and weekends don’t count. So I’m stuck, unable to get groceries or pay bills. Do yourself a favor and just go with one of the online banks these days like chime. Key Bank is a relic operating in the old days when things moved slowly and inefficiently.

Poor Customer Service Experience

I have several personal and business accounts with this branch, but after my most recent experience, I will be closing them all.
I went in to cash a check for $5,000 and was met with absolutely no greeting or welcoming. Instead, I was questioned in a manner that made me feel like a criminal over my own hard-earned money.
I was then told they could not provide large bills because “the delivery hadn’t come in.” So, they intended to give me $5,000 entirely in $20 bills. When I challenged this and asked for a manager (who was conveniently “unavailable”), suddenly $3,000 in large bills became available.
This is not the first time Lori has pulled this — multiple times she has claimed there were no large bills, only for them to appear when a manager is present.
Who wants to count $5,000 worth of $20s in public? I felt so uncomfortable and anxious that I had to ask my husband to come into the branch just to help count the cash. This is unacceptable treatment for any customer, let alone one who has entrusted this branch with multiple accounts.
Absolutely horrible customer service.

This is the worst branch I've ever stepped in. I've had an old account with them from 10 years back which I have not used in over 7 years because it was a joint account. So I went in to open a new account. Ms. Dawn is the one who I spoke to. I took my proof of address, my drivers license and asked them to MAKE SURE that they use my current address and phone number to open my NEW account. They never bothered putting in my new information into the system instead they used my old information and sent out my debit card to the old address on file to my ex husband. I called their corporate office and a supervisor reached out to them on my behalf, this branch lied to the corporate and said they had done nothing wrong. Are you serious? I've never witnessed this magnitude of carelessness and negligence from a bank before. Instead of admitting how much they have screwed things up for me, instead of apologizing to me for the unnecessary trouble they just gave me, they lied to their corporate and said they did not make a mistake on their part. Well you did. You sent out my personal information including my debit card to my ex husband. Had you been slightly professional, this mess would not have happened. It shouldn't have happened first of all. And at the end of all these, when I asked for a temporary card untill I get my debit card in the mail, they lied to me and said we dont do temporary plastic cards here at this branch which is a lie because I spoke to the corporate and they told me you have to give me a temporary plastic card if I ask for one. My tip to this branch and all its unprofessional agents is that learn to be professional, learn to respect the clients privacy and when you mess things up horribly like you did with me, do not lie to your corporate and say you did everything right. In fact it was a simple thing I came into open a BRAND NEW account. It was supposed to be a easy task and here I am now, it's been three days and i finally resolved the issues over the phone with their corporate without any help from this branch. Learn to be professional before you run a bank. It's not a dunkin donuts you are running here. I'm Extremely unsatisfied with the service I got at this location and guys if you open an account with ms dawn or her boss, please make sure that they use the correct information, that they aren't rushing to finish off your appointment and that they do not send your confidential information to your ex husband. Unbelievable!!! Unacceptable!!

This branch made me change my opinion about keybank. From the past 2 months I have been struggling in getting 2 of my cards activated. I am a dependent foreign National here, so keybank has slightly different policies with respect to security purposes, which I highly respect. But the did not receive right response from another branch of keybank so I finally gave this branch a last shot. And to my surprise the branch Manager was a sweetheart!! He figured out what the issue was and resolved it and made sure I had both my cards working before I left from the office!! I would definitely visit this branch in future as the professionals working here are the best at what they do and also very customer friendly!!
