- CCCarl J CarlinJun 26, 20182.0I am a Wells Fargo auto loan customer, but I do not have a Wells Fargo checking account. My best friend is a Wells Fargo customer and sometimes writes checks to me. My best friend and I share the same home so the address on her account matches the address on my photo ID. Everytime I go to Wells Fargo to cash one of her checks, the first question the cashier asks is "Do you have an account with Wells Fargo?". Not a warm fuzzy feeling. Must be a policy, but it is not very customer friendly and it is not logical.
