I’m not sure why it takes so long, it’s not because there are a lot of people there. I always try to go to the mall branch even though it’s a longer drive.

They make it impossible to complete any transaction, such as cashing a check, if you do not have an account open with them, considering that’s the only way they would get my or any non-account holders business. Would highly recommend any other bank in town / across the country. EDIT: talked to the main branch, there was no need for a “second verification” to cash the check, seems as if I was a target of their own prejudice.
