- SHSteve HNov 26, 20181.0My stepdaughter, who was visiting from South Texas, wanted to cash a check (a Wells Fargo Check), that was given to her by her grandfather. The manager was extremely rude and would not cash it, since she didn't have a second ID on hand. It was not until her mother told the manager that we lived here, in Carlsbad, amd showed her a photo of her social security card was she helped but still rudely. This so typical of the people in this town and this bank. If you aren't from Carlsbad and you don't have a checking account with Wells Fargo, good luck! This is exactly why I refuse to bank with Wells Fargo or do any banking in Carlsbad. If you really need to do some banking business go to Artesia and join a credit union, at least they are hospitable to out-of-towners and Texans. If you are from Texas keep dealing with your bank back home, at least you will treated with some respect.
