- HCHappy CamperSep 15, 20252.0(Updated: Went back to Wells Fargo today after the Regional finance Co office that issued the check in Abq told me to go back and they should cash it. So, I went back to Belen. A supervisor and teller tried to help me. But they couldn't cash it unless I opened an account. They said they weren't in business with Regional finance Co anymore even though Wells Fargo is on the check. Seems like a scam to get me and others to open an account. So, I declined. Just didn't sit right with me. But I do appreciate the help the teller and supervisor gave me. They were very nice. Even though they wouldn't cash the check. Smfh.) I drove 30 miles one way to cash a loan check. The teller told me it wasn't real. That nobody prints "This is a loan" on their checks. I told her it was a loan check from an affiliate of Wells Fargo and I was told to come to Wells Fargo to cash it. Since Walmart wouldn't. That it came with loan documents. That it said I had to put my ss# and sign the back. To confirm the loan. And she just gave me look like I was lying and said that's not how it works. That I didn't know how it works but she did and that's how she knew it wasn't a real check. So she didn't need to run it to see. And she didn't and just dismissed me. So, I drove home and called the Abq office where the check was issued from and it is a legit check. They said had she'd run it she would of known that. I gotta say I've never been treated like an old dumb idiot by anyone like she treated me. It was embarrassing. She made me feel like a fool. I'll never recommend this Wells Fargo to anyone. That's for sure.
