Update: thanks Drew for the courtesy call to give more details on the IMT and address my concern. I greatly appreciate! I am proud to be a member with you all! Making sure customers are satisfied are a priority here! Thanks! Alfredo did an excellent job to handle my needs. Great way to welcome a new customer. I was in a rush and he did everything in his power to make sure I was out in a timely manner. His attention to detail is amazing! I had walked up to the teller who had no one at her window and was talking with I believe the manager and Alfredo had to let them know to please help me. He even did things in the back ground to help them make it go by fast for me! If it wasn't for him I probably would have walked out! I am only giving a 4 because I do wish this location had a drive thru for convenience and also the fact the two ladies had me wait no a big deal but to me it wasn't busy and I think anytime you see a customer waiting regardless of what you are you doing they should be your first priority or put your sign up your closed if you are busy. I pay attention to stuff like that.

I am not a member, but I recently visited to help my grandmother, who had just had eye surgery and couldn’t drive. She doesn’t use a debit card and prefers to deal in cash, so I went in to deposit $25 into her account to cover a bill. First, I was surprised that this location doesn’t have a drive-thru, which would be very helpful for elderly or recovering members. When I went inside, the staff was not very friendly or welcoming. I was asked for my ID (which felt odd for a simple cash deposit, but I provided it). When I asked why, the teller explained she was adding me to my grandmother’s account—without my permission or request. I immediately clarified that I did not want that, and that I was only trying to help with a one-time deposit since my grandmother was unable to come in herself. Instead of finding a solution, I was told nothing could be done. I was shocked that they couldn’t accommodate such a simple request to help their own member in a difficult situation. This experience left a very negative impression. Based on this interaction, I would not consider banking with Rio Grande Credit Union in the future.

Today i called to get my balance. RGCU's automatic telephone system was down. I was able to finally talk to a really rude employee. Not a good experience.

New location, great staff, resolve issues in house. I've been banking at this location since it opened. I can say this much, the staff here are good at their jobs. I needed to build up my credit so I was one of the first customers to start with their credit card. This help me build up to better credit cards I have today. Now a days my accounts with them stay at a $0 balance since it is required to keep a Savings & Checking account open to maintain your credit card account. I found out that they use a third party for their credit card offer (so nothing in house in this matter). When I had verified a couple of charges were done fraudulently I found out the hard way on how to challenge those charges . Overall, after several documents being faxed from the company in question which confirmed the act was fraud. Rio Grande Credit Union denied my claim of fraudulent charges, again the Company that the charges came from sent me and the RGCU confirmation that the charge was done fraudulently I still had to pay for the transaction. Their card reports to all three credit unions so this is why I keep it open, it's a dormant account that looks good on my credit history. Because of their help I was in the 400's starting with their credit card now I'm in the mid 700's. So take what you can from this review just be on top of your stuff when using this CU. Hope this was helpful
