- LLLoisNov 20, 20251.0I have never had a loan with Provident bank. I have had a loan with their predecessor. I paid the loan off in full more than 2 years ago and was told by the bank manager, that I was good to go after handing her my final payment. Today, I received a letter from Provident stating they want to me to pay them a fee of $55 to release a lien. I called and spoke it’s Jaida and Matt Lardieri asking for them to waive the fee. I was given a story that the court requires them to charge it to me. Matt told me that the fee was direct from the county and that there’s nothing he can do about it. I contacted the county and they told me it would be $30 not $55 and that it must be bank fee. I am frustrated by the lack of transparency, and customer service. I would never be treated this poorly by my other bank M&T. I will give provident 7 days to resolve this. Matt and Jaida have my phone number. If I do not have a resolution, I will now be closing my business account, tenant account and my children’s bank accounts and be rid of this bank once and for all.
