  ON 7/23/2025 I went to the teaneck Branch in order to open a business account .please note ;[ i do have a personal account with this bank ] so for convenient i wanted to have my entity account in the same bank as well . when i got there i provided them with the standard necessary docs such as; the entity formation papers, my federal tax id number , my entity operating agreement etc ... i was then told that i need to fill up some "application" regarding my entity business nature [ something i had never heard of and was never asked to do, in any bank that i ever opened an entity business account in my entire life] ,then i was told i will not be able to open the account even after completing their "application" until Management approves my application in 1-3 days .folks none of the 3 people in the bank were able to approve a simple business account opening .please note, i do have other entity accounts with other banks and was finding this bank process strange to say the least , first, no bank ever asked me for an "application "to open an account in any bank i ever open an entity account, and second no bank ever ask me for "application " or to wait few day[s]for them to get an answer for me wanting to open an account . so at that moment i decided to take my business elsewhere to different bank close by , to open an account . which i did. i ended up opening a business account with a nearby bank which took them a total of 15 minutes to open a business account they also issued me a debit card on the spot and thank me for my business .[with no questions asked or"application"required . *i now learn one thing ,if i need to do any business with any bank columbia bank is definitely the last place i ever want to go*.
