    The staff at this bank are very passive aggressive, Ms.Roxann (the bank teller) must hate her job by the way she effortlessly does the opposite of what is required. I don’t know if it’s racism but she ran her own system of checks to “verify” a family members information. It’s honestly upsetting to us and I did recommend therapy because of how distraught my family was. The micro aggression in this bank is unbelievable. #closethisbranchforgood

    I visited the Somerville Wells Fargo branch today and want to raise serious concerns about my experience with teller Roxene. As a customer of over 22 years, I have never felt so humiliated in a branch. During a routine transaction, she questioned the validity of my signature despite my providing proper identification and documentation. She went out of her way to call another branch to “investigate” my prior transactions, creating unnecessary delays and embarrassment. When I asked if her treatment was because of my race, the situation escalated further until the supervisor had to step in. It is my hardearned money, and I should not be subjected to discriminatory or demeaning behavior when accessing it. Each Wells Fargo branch should operate by consistent corporate standards, not by the personal biases and prejudices of staff. Unfortunately, this experience left me questioning whether long-time loyal customers are truly valued here. Beware of this teller Roxene.

    I think if there is a long line and a problem, would help if manager would come out and explain. Say something! Sheesh! Smh! Ridiculous!

    I’ve had nothing but frustrating experiences with Wells Fargo lately. First of all, there never seems to be a manager available when you need one. Whether it’s in person or on the phone, you’re constantly bounced around or told someone will “get back to you” — but they rarely do. The Zelle issues have been especially disturbing. My transfers were randomly placed on hold, and after multiple calls, the only explanation I was given was that it was possibly due to my last name. If that’s not borderline discriminatory, I don’t know what is. I’ve never had these kinds of problems with any other bank. Wells Fargo used to be about convenience and customer service, but now it’s just a headache and a red flag. If you’re considering banking here — think twice. There are much better options that actually value their customers and treat them like people, not problems.
