They told me that was bot a requirement and that they would look into my whole credit history. Later I was told I was denied because I didn't have a relationship with the bank. I have very good, clean credit. If that was the case, why they lied when I asked if a bank account with them was necessary? I called Customer Service told me I needed to have an account open for at least a year in order to be considered for credit. Either the agents are misinformed or they just encourage you to apply so they can fulfill their application quota. That same week I went to Citibank and they approved me in less than 10 minutes for the same amount. I will stay away from Wells Fargo and definitely not have any relationship with them.
