  I'm writing to express my frustration with the service I received. I visited the bank to cash a check from my employer, providing my NJ state-issued driver's license, birth certificate, and social security card. The teller claimed she needed a major credit card in addition to these documents, which I didn't have due to a lost wallet. I explained the situation, but she insisted it was bank policy. I felt disrespected when she said I was "giving her a hard time." A gentleman intervened and helped resolve the issue, but I was still labeled as "giving them a hard time." It seemed unreasonable that my valid ID, birth certificate, and social security card weren't enough. Although they eventually cashed my check, the experience was unnecessary stressful. I'd appreciate it if you could review your policies and procedures to ensure customers are treated respectfully and efficiently.

  This is our go to branch. Although we have a branch closer to our house, this is the branch with the most knowledgeable people. Especially George Miller. He has been our go to person at provident for years!

  I was just denied my own money because the lady at the counter did not like the way I signed my signature. I’ve been harassed at more than 5 provident banks. Also a regional manager was in there, his name is George I believe. He actually set up my account when I first opened one back in 2018 at the Amboy Ave Edison location. But regardless, he definitely heard the ridiculous woman’s response to my signature and did nothing. I could not take out my own mo yea today. Horrible customer service. I can never take my rent money out in peace at any provident bank location. Do better! You guys really need training.
