I was quite dissatisfied with my FirstBank experience. First, I never received status updates on my loan process unless I called the loan officer myself. I was never told what each next step was or what action I had to take to keep the process moving unless I called the loan officer to ask. On several occasions, I would leave messages with whoever answered the phone and was told my loan officer would call me back the next day, only to call the next day when no one called me to find out he left for the day. Second, I was told from day one that my loan was a fixed rate, only to be surprised with the commitment letter that it was variable rate (almost 3 months later), and told to take it or leave it. I will never do business with FirstBank again, and I will tell all my friends, family, and coworkers about my experience and to avoid FirstBank.
