  I have a major issue with the bank. I was told they own the building where summit medical lab is. This morning I go to get blood work done and find the doors locked. No sign on the back doors stating that the back doors are now locked to go to the front of the building.. Very inconsiderate, as I was waiting for a while for someone to come and open the door. And several workers from Summit Medical were also waiting. I’m sure they were now late to work.

  If I could give Valley Bank in Fair Lawn , NJ zero star I would because they lack the knowledge and respect required to conduct proper business. I went to the bank on 9/2/23 to change the custodial on my saving account however, the bank told me they needed to write the check to the minor for the total balance and they weren’t certain what the minor would do after they write the check to her . I then questioned that information given that the child is 18 and in the state of NJ they need to be 21 before they can have full control over the money . After 1.5 hour of me being there , they told me they needed to transfer the entire saving in my checking to which they did . Now I need to find another bank to open an account to deposit the money . While I was there , they called different branches and check my identity even though they have my driver’s license on file. They even questioned my signature on my driver’s license. Can you imagine a bank that you have done business with for more than 20 years? I even have direct deposit with them . My thirteen years old was with me and they made me feel like a criminal. This bank assistant had the audacity to tell me, the driver’s license that they have on file is missing numbers . Imagine that when I gave them that same license (real ID license ) in May, 2023 when they asked for it before I could withdraw $2, 000 from my checking account at the branch in Elmwood Park, NJ . It’s just sad and heartbreaking that customers much be treated by such unknowledgeable and unprofessional employees. Please be prudent and don’t conduct business with any Valley National Bank because they are unprofessional and unknowledgeable !!!!!!
