TD Bank restricted and permanently closed my only checking account while a verified Carvana deposit was pending — even after I told their customer service multiple times that it was an emergency and I needed access to the funds. I provided every document they requested, verified the deposit, and followed their instructions — yet they still locked me out completely. No warning, no accountability, just days of stress and confusion. Their handling was so negligent I had to file a formal complaint with the CFPB before anyone even reviewed the case. It’s clear this bank doesn’t care about its customers. If you ever need access to your money in a real situation, do not trust TD Bank — their “support” feels like canned replies and closed doors. Communication at the branch was poor, and there were clear language barriers that made the situation even more frustrating. I’ve been a TD customer for nearly twenty years, and this is how they treat loyalty. Completely unacceptable. Keep your balances low and have a backup plan — this experience showed me how quickly a bank can turn your life upside down!!
