They said they would mail a check with my remaining balance — over $2,000 — to the address on file. I never received it. Since then, I’ve called more than two dozen times, sent multiple letters (including one notarized letter mailed two months ago), and provided every piece of proof requested — including a notarized DBA certificate from my town confirming that I own. USPS tracking confirms my documents were delivered to Citi’s address on September 20, 2025. Despite all this, my funds are still being withheld. Every time I call, I’m told something different: that my case is under review, that the business issuing the check must contact their bank, or that I need to visit a branch in person — which is impossible since the nearest branch is eight hours away. I understand and respect the need for fraud prevention, but this has gone far beyond reasonable caution. As a small business owner, these funds are critical to my livelihood. I’ve acted in complete good faith, followed every instruction, and provided notarized proof — yet Citibank has kept my money for nearly a year with no clear path to resolution. This situation has been exhausting and deeply frustrating. I am urgently asking Citibank to release my rightful funds and close this matter once and for all.
