  I went to this TD Bank branch to open a business checking account and the experience was unbelievably frustrating. The staff insisted I needed a Certificate of Good Standing which costs almost 300 dollars and other foreign entity filings in New Jersey just to open a basic account. After wasting time and money following their requirements I decided to walk into Chase. To my surprise Chase opened my business account instantly with no extra documents no unnecessary hurdles and I was out in five minutes. It is shocking how inconsistent and unprofessional TD Bank’s procedures are compared to other major banks. I have been with TD for almost five years but this experience made it clear that they either do not understand business banking or make it intentionally difficult. Highly disappointed.

  It receives two stars because it used to be a nice bank. Now, I am not sure if they did an overhauling of staff but the friendly tellers who used to be there are no more. I went in there to inquire about a particular deposit. I was told by customer service to speak with a manager as they could help me with my payroll check that had a 9 day hold! Upon arrival I saw staff was busy and I was more than happy to wait. However, the teller kept saying she could help. Meanwhile the manager kept pacing behind me listening. Finally got her attention and she dismissed me and said sorry nothing we can do. I know that banks have procedures, but I also know from my experience with TD that managers have discretion too. She chose not to.
