- SSSaraJul 31, 20251.0I’ve been banking with Provident Bank since 2009, but my recent experience at the Bloomfield, NJ (11 Broad St) branch was deeply disappointing and upsetting. I went in person with my valid ID to withdraw nearly $6,000 of my own money, yet I was met with suspicion and intrusive questioning. I was asked: “Why are you taking out this much money?” “Who are you giving it to?” “Do you know this person?” and was even pressured to take a check instead of cash. The manager stood hovering over the teller throughout the entire interaction, which only added to the discomfort. I felt like I was being treated as a criminal rather than a loyal customer who has banked with them for over 15 years. I fully understand that banks have security measures in place to prevent fraud but there is a respectful and professional way to do that. This wasn’t it. I left feeling judged, uncomfortable, and completely unvalued. Provident Bank needs to do better when it comes to customer service and basic human courtesy.

Security officer helpful and pleasant and helps the customers feel at ease while services are rendered. I would recommend this 👌 Provident Bank, Bloomfield location to anyone who is interested in a Bank that serves the public great banking services 💯%.
