  Ever since NECU switched their brand to Lighthouse I've had awful experiences. I have been a longtime customer of an NECU and in the last year I have had more problems that I had in 8 years of being a customer at NECU. Terrible and incompetent phone customer service. Today I called for help with a simple question, if a mistaken double payment went through on my debit card or not. The first representative had a horrible attitude and literally wouldn't even look at my account and just told me there's nothing they can do to stop the double payment... so I called back and then got two more incompetent people who couldn't just tell me if the charge processed or not. After an already stressful situation with the merchant, they sent me into a major panic and caused me insane stress for nothing telling me I'm gonna get all kinds of fees. The rep kept giving me incorrect information and all I wanted to know was if the charge actually processed or not. Finally after 40 minutes of a ridiculous waste of my time phone call, the rep comes back after hold and tells me the double charge didn't process. So what could've been a simple two minute phone call caused me enormous stress and took 40 minutes and three representatives to tell me the answer. I've also had multiple instances where I was charged fees incorrectly and had to get them refunded. On a few occasions I've called with an issue and was told that a ticket would be put in and someone would call me back within 24 hours and no one ever called back. I really need to look for a new place to do my banking.

  Terrible customer service, have been trying to register my new truck in the state of MA, and the RMV wants a copy of the loan agreement from Lighthouse, called them, was told its a 1 day turn around period and ill hear from someone the next day. Its now been almost 2 weeks. Was told they would email it to me and still havent received it. Have been calling the past 3 days now to see what the deal is. Each time I have called they say the same thing. I will hear from someone the next day. Still nothing. Worst credit union around. Won't be using them ever again after this.
