  I came in there 2 weeks ago at approx 1pm, with cash in hand, and a coupon for a $400 bonus to open up a new checking account with direct deposit requirements ($3,000 in 90 days), and I was all set to do this, and there was only 1 teller working the windows, who was extremely slow, and by the time the teller finally saw me I was directed to speak to a personal banker, in which there were 2 working in the back. There were 2 customers ahead of me waiting to be seen as well. We all sat waiting for well over an hour and none of us were seen; the wait line was not moving what-so-ever. I was then told I needed to make an appointment after all of this waiting. I finally got upset and just walked out. They acted as though they didn't even care about obtaining new customers. They acted as though we were all a huge inconvenience to them. I've had accounts with other banks before and I've never dealt with issues like this before. I was really stoked about getting a $400 bonus for opening a new Wells Fargo checking account with the $3000 direct deposit stipulation they had. I was, and still am very upset at how dismissive they were to me and how they acted very lackadaisical when it came to perspective NEW customers. I probably avoided future issues as well, especially by looking at all of their other negative reviews. I would stay clear of this bank, as there are many more banks in this area to choose from. They need to weed out the lazy employees, and do some re-training. I'm speaking of the Winston Salem, 5995 University Pkwy, location.

  I have been a loyal customer with Wells Fargo for many years now, but this particular location is starting to make me think I need to bank somewhere else! I have had multiple incidents with this branch a lot lately, the most recent being on Friday 4-5-24! My husband deposited a check on the previous Saturday 3-30-24, at which $400 was available immediately, with the rest being available on Tuesday, 4-2-2024 and it was available! Three days later on Friday , we wake up to our account overdrawn the whole amount of that check that was deposited and had already posted! I mean the funds were already made available 3 days prior and then they take them back on Friday and say now they won’t be able until the 10th, another 5 days??? And here’s the kicker, it was a Cashiers Check!!! We go to the bank, and we were told the payee of the check from another bank had some returned checks, so it but that one on hold! We leave and immediately contact the payee , who said she had no returned checks at all! We met her at her bank and they printed us out a paper showing no returned checks and also that the check she wrote us had cleared on Monday 4-1-2014! I take this print out back to our bank, and asked them to explain it now, to which I was told it was their computers fault! The manager went in and fixed the account! This branch comes off as very shady to me, either there is shady business going on, or someone just doesn’t know what they are doing, and this branch should be looked into! You should feel at ease with the company you bank with, not frustrated! This type of business handling doesn’t look good on a company that already has a history of fraud!

  The inside is nice and so are the people but half the time the ATM's are not accepting deposits and for a business to not be able to make a deposit after 5:00 that is not very convenient. This is really the only wells fargo atm near us so we need these working. I hope you guys read this!!
