My business account got hacked, Truist doctored the original claim then denied the refund. Untrustworthy bank and inept fraud department.

My boyfriend went to withdraw money from his account. The clerk told him he had to leave x amount in his CHECKING account or they would close it............ I find this information hard to be valid.

I recently had a disappointing experience at the bank with two bankers, Lane and Kelsey. We visited the bank seeking assistance with outstanding refunds from a merchant, but unfortunately, we encountered unprofessionalism and a lack of knowledge from both Lane and Kelsey. Initially, we contacted Kelsey regarding a dispute over returned merchandise, providing detailed information about the issue. However, we received a response from Truist stating that the dispute couldn't be processed because we had received the merchandise. This was despite our clear explanation to Kelsey. When we visited the bank, Lane attempted to help but became frustrated when he couldn't resolve the issue. He seemed uninterested in our problem, which involved the bank rejecting refunds from the merchant. We brought proof of the refunds, but Lane didn't even bother to review it, displaying a dismissive attitude. Kelsey's behavior was equally disappointing. She had previously submitted our dispute incorrectly, stating that we had possession of the merchandise. This was a fundamental error, as the dispute was precisely about not having the merchandise. Her arrogance and unprofessionalism were evident in her tone and comments. The entire experience was frustrating and stressful, leaving me feeling like I was dealing with incompetent individuals. I had to leave the bank before I became too upset, as it was clear that we wouldn't receive the help we needed from Lane and Kelsey. I expected the bank to assist us in recovering our funds, considering we entrust them with our financial affairs. Unfortunately, my experience with Truist fell short of this expectation. As a result, I have made the decision to close my three personal accounts and my business account with Truist. I will be taking my business elsewhere, seeking a financial institution that prioritizes customer support and satisfaction.

At first they said they could cash older US Bonds. Banker found a reason he couldn't. Same banker couldn't notarize an affidavit. Banking services very limited and disappointing. 10 year customer.
