The same staff working here for years is very rude and wanting to do the bare minimum. The two ladies that work in the main area are never friendly and act as if whatever I need is an extreme inconvenience even though it is their job to be friendly and help with a smile on their face. Horrible customer service and it’s been the same 2 women for years. If I was their boss they would have been fired a long time ago. Clearly shows that this bank management is extremely unprofessional. A 1 star is too high of a rating. Bank oak is a fine bank but not the employees at this location.

Update: Never go there! My friend went to this location today and had to speak to the manager. She was the rudest and the meanest person. So incredibly unprofessional. If someone from the upper management reads this, please let her go. Maybe it will improve these poor reviews. I really needed to exchange money and they are the only bank nearby. They refused because I didn't have an account with them. Now I will definitely not get one. Too bad. Other banks were always willing to help.

Deposited a check, and received a call saying that my check was fraudulent! After reaching out to the issuer of the check, I was informed that the check was in fact, valid and in no way a scam or fraudulent. Called Bank OZK back and was told that the checks routing number and account numbers were falsified and not real. They told me I could come get the check and try to cash it or verify it at the issuing banks local branch. Long story short, the check issuing bank and a local bank have a similar name, and instead of doing their due diligence, they only tried to verify the check through the local branch of the same name. I had to basically come to this conclusion for them, and never received an apology for their lack of initiative and terrible customer service. If depositing a measly $1,000 check from out of state can cause this much confusion, I’m not sure I’m confident or comfortable doing any serious business with this branch or company in the future.

My husband and I have had accounts with Bank of the Ozarks since 2013. When we opened our account we had a great experience. Over the last few years we started having more issues with them. So, here goes... Our business account debit card constantly gets shut down and flagged for fraud for no reason. We had this issue in 2014 and we had to have the branch request them to remove the fraud flag for 6 months. The bank says that my account gets flagged because of how I spend money. Um, wait. So, this bank is telling me how and where to spend my own money?! Yep. So, as I said before, we got this issue cleared up in 2014. But, they apparently started flagging my account again. So, I have to deal with getting it corrected so I can use my business debit card. No exaggeration, they flagged a PayPal transaction and less than a week later flagged a store purchase that I made within my state. Speaking of in state and out of state purchases.... if you travel, be prepared to either call them constantly and let them know you're going to go somewhere or be prepared with a back up card. I live less than an hour from the state line and if I make a purchase, my card gets flagged. I feel like this bank micromanages me. Now, to the actual branch. So, the one employee I have the most experienced with opened an account for my friend. When we first walked in, I honestly thought she was drunk or on pills. Her speech would slur and she had trouble controlling the volume of her voice. So, my friend had a check that I wrote them that was a Bank of the Ozarks check. The woman opening the account was treating us like we were doing something shady. She got my friends account partially opened and they gave her the check. She then asked me for my social security number to verify the funds. Once she saw how much money I had with them her tune completely changed. She started asking me if I needed water or anything else. I went from being treated like I was trying to pull a fast one to being treated like royalty. I had a similar experience at another branch as well. I don't care if a person has $7 or $70,000 in their bank account, they should be treated the same. I am appalled by the way some of the employees act and how many hoops I have to jump through with this bank.
