I want to applaud and give sincere praise to Joseph Spencer and Christina Rodriguez in the Wilmington, NC office. Joe paved the way for me and also my wife to bring all of our retirement plans together and smartly transferred the lead to Christina. Christina has worked with us to prepare for retirement by doing the proper conversions along with explaining every step we will take to over come hurdles and successfully put us on the path to retirement security. My wife and I are completely at peace and are comforted to know that our best interests are First Commands best interests. We built a strong positive relationship and completely trust Christina with our financial retirement future. I want to share an example of Christina’s expertise toward executing the proper conversions and knowing the tax process to ensure I satisfied federal and state tax requirements. I met with my tax accountant and she was very leery about how I paid taxes from a traditional to Roth IRA through First Command. I texted Christina during my tax meeting and she immediately called me to explain the rule that was executed according to the law to the accountant and that I was in good standing. Due to Christina providing the accurate figures and paying my taxes and ensuring the accountant understood l was saved from paying $13,000 in taxes unnecessarily. Through this process she remained professional and confident she had correctly executed my financial conversions. I was extremely relieved after I left my tax accountants office to be in a better position than when I started my meeting.
