I just tried to make a small cash deposit into my 16 year old son’s checking account. It was $1,000 given to me by his loving grandparents to help him in saving up for his first car. They acted like I was trying to breach the White House security detail, and wouldn’t allow me to make the deposit because “I wAsN’t LiStEd On ThE aCcOuNt WiTh HiM”. I presented my official government issued ID, had his correct numbers, and even offered to get him on the phone to verify anything else needed. Nope, not gonna help me. It’s a shame when corporations get so big that they forget how to actually serve their customer base. Think back to the difference between Barney Fife vs. Andy Griffith. Barney was always such an overly pedantic rule follower. Andy could use his intelligence and reason through every situation without punitive action in order to resolve the conflict. You need to know how to be relatable and help people in a service industry. Could the employees in the bank have done some kind of workaround in this situation? Probably. Did they want to? No. Why? More than likely because they were burned and written up in the past by the corporate desk chair anchors for helping a customer in a similar easy to solve scenario. Considering Wells Fargo was the first American company to transport money by horse and carriage, you’d think they would have figured out a better way to serve by now. Today demonstrated one facet of the poor leadership which flows downhill like burning lava stinking to high Heaven from the top by whomever is currently at the helm, and obviously oblivious that they are on course to crash the ship into a bunch of rocks. Let me translate that = bad reviews. You guys have a 3.4 rating on Google. That’s failure. Wake up. Shame on you Wells Fargo. Could I have moved on with my day and not taken the time to write this gloriously entertaining review? Sure, but I have 13 more minutes until it’s time for my haircut at Great Clips. To anyone reading this, seek out a local credit union in your area and stop giving these giant banks your money. They don’t appreciate anyone. The owners don’t live in our communities and wouldn’t dare have their “elite” children attend our local schools with our “normal” kids. Have a wonderful day folks. Always remember to smile and be kind no matter what bizarre situation you find yourselves in. Matthew 28:19 🙏

Rude and inconsiderate. I was told employees getting their breaks was more important than my needing help.
