Awful bank tellers here, I've been a member of secu for years dealing mostly in Raleigh and I started using this one off sunset Ave in Rocky Mount for my small business to cash a southern bank check and the teller says I'm sorry we haven't received a check from that bank and it has a high likelihood of being returned so I'm giving it back to you. I said okay so should I go to the southern bank branch to cash the check? No response for a couple of minutes, she wasn't listening so she cut the speaker/mic off and just sent the check back through the tube. That's not how you should handle members of the bank.

I went in to open an Estate Account for my deceased Mother. Though I've been a member for a considerable amount of time, they gave me the runaround. Sent me to the courthouse to get a document that they didn't really need and no other bank, according to the clerk, asks for. I had the only 2 documents that was needed. They also told me I needed a EIN number, gave me the sight to go to and, $317 later, I had the number that I didn't even need. On top of that, the lady at the bank didn't know what she was doing as she had to call to another location. Oh and apparently they didn't know what they were doing either. Bottom line is, I spent close to 3 hours with the SECU and it took me all of 20 minutes at PNC. First time I have felt disrespected by them. Stay clear...
