I've been a member of the NC SECU for almost 30 years and I've never considered moving to a regular bank. Aside from the great people that work here, their rates are competitive and it is much easier to get a loan from SECU than a standard bank. I'll never yake my business anywhere else.

My wife had the most interesting experience at this branch. She went into the branch with our baby to withdraw money. That was it. She asked the teller ( caucasian woman, with thick glasses, hair a little grey in the front and pulled back into a ponytail, and was approximately in her late 40s) for the address to the branch so that we could call for an Uber, and the lady asked her what did she need the address for and did she actually need it. she appeared to be a bit nervous and took a long time to provide the information. My wife could have simply googled it or ask someone else, but she had to mind the baby. In addition she thought it would be easier to ask The teller being that she works there.
She also took a long time just to provide my wife with funds. She clearly pulled up my wife’s account and seen that we have funds. We are clearly a member, and have been for years. The tellers disposition made the entire visit awkward. if she’s that scary and frantic and I hope it’s not a race issue, maybe she should not be working there.

This is my favorite bank. For NCSU students, it is such an easy walk to get to, with more than enough parking. The tellers have always been kind to me, and usually I am in and out in less than 20 minutes. Rarely a line unless you are going in during rush out.
