  I have been banking with Carter Bank and Trust for over 20 years. It was a sad day when the branch closed in Fayetteville. The branch in Raleigh has exceeded my expectations in customer service. The bank tellers and management were very helpful and answered all of my questions that I had regarding my account. This company has always had a hometown feel for it's customers. This is very hard to find in today's world. Thank you so much for all that you do!

  My local branch in Fayetteville closed its doors in April 2025. I was so disappointed that leaves me having to figure out who can help me when I have issues with my account. Called Customer Service here in Raleigh, ended up speaking first with Lois on May 27th. She promised she will call me back as soon as she resolve the issue I had. I was patient that usual and let Lois do her job. In less than 3 hours, Lois calls me back with good news and told me that everything will be fine. When I tried to deposit my check online...it rejected my deposit. Called Lois back and she told me she would take care of it. Half an hour later, she comes through with better news. I can go ahead and redeposit my check online. Amazing! Two days later, I try to purchase something, but before I did that I checked to make sure I have enough money to use my card. But when I ran my card to use it it told me that I didn't have any funds. I called this branch again, this time I speak to Tiffany. Tiffany looks into my account and inform me of the issue she found. She told me.to give her some time to work on the issue on hand and she will call me back. Within 2 hours, Tiffany calls me back let's me know what has happened and what she was doing. By the end of the day Tiffany calls me back at 5:06pm to let me know to check my account after an hour and the issue should have been fixed. And if I still have an issue with my account to contact her the next day. Friends, I chose Carter Bank and Trust because they treat their customers like their own family, with great care. Just like banks and other businesses used to 30-50 years ago. True and real Customer Service. Not liked the big banks these days that they want you to.open an account with then, and when you come in not a single person smiles or greets you when you walk in their bank. Thank you so much Lois and Tiffany and the other Customer Service bankers working for Carter Bank and Trust...you make me feel special and really taken care of..above and beyond.

  WHY ARE YOU CLOSING ONE OF THE ONLY BANKS IN SANFORD, NC THAT IS A GOOD BANK, WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GO, RALEIGH? I'M NOT GOING DOWN TO FAYETTEVILLE, NEVER, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, GREAT PEOPLE, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MESS WITH A GOOD THING?

  I have met over five of the leaders at Carter Bank and I am so impressed by the quality of people they have at the bank. They are well experienced, many of them having worked in larger banks. Carter Bank has the expertise and abilities of larger banks but the feel of a local bank. 10/10 would recommend them. My experiences were at the Raleigh branch.
